Black Tip Josh’s 2000 BMW 323i 2.5L I-6

Posted in Exhaust Tip Pics on September 8, 2011 by customerphotos

Josh F. sent us pictures of the new Assured Performance “Black Powder” exhaust tip on his 2000 BMW 323i 2.5L. I-6.    The tip he purchased for his project was part number AC079-BKG.   The tip was purchased from Assured Automotive Company.

Assured Performance Exhaust Tip AC079-BKG is a dual outlet with the outside dimensions of the outlet measuring 3 inches tall and 7.4 inches wide.  The length is 9.5 inches.  The inlet inside diameter is 2.5 inches.

Judging by the under carriage picture Josh sent us, no modifications were needed for install.

Josh had the exhaust tip welded on and it looks like he did a little bit of trimming on rear valance.  Trimming is sometimes required to allow clearance of the exhaust tip exiting the back of the vehicle

Looks Great Josh!!

Thank you for the pictures!!

EdzGarage Big Rig Air Horn Install Videos

Posted in Air Horn, Assured Performance Horns, loud horn, on board air, train horn, viair on August 20, 2011 by customerphotos

Ed from EdzGarge posted a couple YouTube videos about an Assured Automotive Big Rig Dual Horn Kit with a VIAIR 20005 on board air system.

Ed’s son got this kit for his Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck.  Ed relays to us that “My son really loves these horns… he can’t get the smile off his face! “.

The first video is the install of the kit in the his Dodge ram.  SEE VIDEO #1

As impressive as the first video is, the second video is the most fun.  Ed did a “Sound Check” of the horn kit.

SEE VIDEO #2

The kit that Ed purchased from Assured Automotive Company is a pair of 152db single trumpet air horns.  Each horn is nearly 25 inches long and have a rectangle outlets which includes a “snow shields”.  The horns include air solenoids(electric valves).  These horns are designed to be roof mounted.  They have a mount on the rear of the diaphragm housing and an adjustable front mount.

The air system is a VIAIR 20005 kit which has a 2 gallon air tank and a 150psi VIAIR 30% Duty compressor.  The kit includes all mounting hardware, air tubing, fitting.  All that is not supplied is automotive wire and relay(optional).  This kit can supply air for horns, suspension bags, air lockers, and some air tools.

Ed did a great job on his videos and we appreciate the hard work he put into them.

If you have a video of installing or an installed Assured Automotive product, please forward it onto us.  We would love to share on this Customer Photo Blog.

Thanks Again Ed!!

Boost Gauge in Jordan’s Audi TT

Posted in Gauges-Assured Performance on March 24, 2010 by customerphotos

Here is some pictures  of your LED 7-Color Boost Gauge mounted in my car.

I drive an Audi TT, and am surprised how good it looks with the stock cluster.

I used all the components that came with the kit, but will probably change the hose that came with the kit for something a little stronger and heat resistant.

Steve’s New Train Cooker-Hell of a BBQ

Steve’s New Train Cooker-Hell of a BBQ.

I purchased the train approximately 1 year ago(Spring 2009) and it took Frank two years to build it.

I recently purchased a mobile kitchen trailer and together with Old Smoky we do special events and festivals and might set up semi-permanently in the future in Rockville (or Hyattsville) Maryland.

I’ll hook up the air horns where they rightfully belong on the train.

More info on this tip-Click HERE

Hey Guys,

Finally a tip that will not rust or turn brown!!

I took this pic after we drove the truck about 25,000 miles, pulling a 20k lb goose neck trailer at that!!.  The TIP  looks like the day we put it on.

To install on my ’08 Chevy Duramax, We removed the Muffler Back tail section & replaced it with a pre-bent 5” tailpipe.  Cut the rear end back about 15 ” and bolted the tip on(we did put a few spot welds on it-per you suggestion).

About 4 of my co-workers have also bought these Chrome over Stainless Tips, they are just as happy as ME!!!!

Please post photo I sent you on your photo page.

I will be back!!

Thought you might like what I did with your tips.  The car was a big hit at the show last weekend and the charity the car reps at the events has been asked for the car to be at several other events around the Chicago area as well as being featured in a new web based TV program.

I’ll be at another show this Sunday and I’ll try to get more photos for you that are a bit better.  These were just sent to me today.
I am trying to get the car ready for a trip to southern Indiana then to Toronto Canada and if I can get the sponsorship take part in the Modball 5 city cross country race from Chicago to Las Vegas in Nov which ends at SEMA.
